Terms of Service
These terms cover gorilla-grip.online. Using the site means reading its figures, holding them against your own floor, and following its links. They are written for that use and no other.
What this site is
This is the Gorilla Grip catalog: bath rugs and toilet mats, tub and shower mats, rug pads and grippers, kitchen mats, liners and tools, doormats, pet mats, and the covers, hooks and gloves that go with them, with the size, the pack count and the material printed where you can read them before you decide. It is a reference, not a checkout. Our retail partner takes the payment, ships the parcel and handles any return, and the contract of sale is formed there, on their terms.
Wet floors, suction and grab bars
A mat lowers the odds. It does not abolish them. The research on bathroom injuries is blunt about where the risk sits: around two thirds of the ones that reach an emergency department happen in or around the tub or shower, and only about one in fifty happens on the way in. Almost all of it happens on the way out, on a surface that is now wet. So work with that: put something under both feet on both sides of the tub wall, give a suction mat a smooth clean surface to hold (textured, non-slip and refinished tub floors are exactly the ones suction will not grip), and treat a grab bar as the thing that catches you rather than the mat. The national institute on aging asks for nonskid mats on every surface that can get wet AND bars inside and outside the tub, not one instead of the other.
Federal fall-prevention guidance says two things about rugs that sound contradictory until you read them together: do not use loose throw rugs, and make sure every carpet is fixed firmly to the floor so it cannot slip. A rug that slides is a hazard; a rug that cannot move is a floor covering. Everything on our rug pad shelf exists to move a rug from the first category into the second, and a rug in a walking line for someone unsteady on their feet is worth losing altogether rather than gripping better.
Both notes are written out of public guidance rather than out of our own testing. Every source behind them is named, with the date it was read, on our updates page.
Figures and photographs
Sizes, pack counts and materials come from our product data. Prices move; the figure at the till is the one that counts, and where the two disagree, the till wins. Photographs show the thing being sold rather than a styled substitute, and a frame that argues with its caption is pulled rather than captioned around.
