Not every rug needs a full underlay. A rug that lies flat in the middle and lifts at one corner has a corner problem, and a handful of grippers costs a fraction of a pad cut to the whole rug. The packs on this page run four, eight, twelve, sixteen and twenty-four pieces, and the price per piece falls as the pack grows, which the card prints beside the pack count.
Grippers hold by adhesion to the underside of the rug and friction against the floor, so the two surfaces matter more than the number of pieces. Wipe the floor and the rug back before fitting, place them an inch in from the edge rather than right on the corner point, and give the adhesive a day before you walk the rug hard. On a rug that curls badly, a gripper on each corner plus one mid-edge on the long sides usually settles it.
